hot yoga

On Thursday, I tried my very first hot yoga class and loved it!  It is a 90 minute class held in a 105 degree room with 40% humidity.  Hot stuff!  But I would much rather be too hot than too cold!  I didn’t take any pictures in class, because I didn’t want to be “that girl”, but I can ensure you that there were plenty of scantily clad people in the room ready to practice yoga (and even more of them in the locker room!  Holy naked people!).  At first, I thought that there were too many people in the small room and that I wouldn’t be able to focus, but as soon as we got started, I forgot all about them.

I have never sweat so much in my life, but I was left with an amazing feeling at the end of the 90 minutes.  My favorite part of the class was the silent mediation time at the end of the class.  As you can imagine, I don’t get too many silent moments throughout my day with the girls, so that silence was the best sound I heard all day!  Namaste!

  1. I did hot yoga for a while before I got pregnant with Isabel and I loved it! Your flexibility increases so much in that hot, humid climate. Such a great workout for your body and soul. Enjoy!
