Today was a great family day! We started off the day with church. Macy wasn’t shy at all and ran right off to sunday school with the other children!
Blake and I both got a run in during naptime.
The rest of the afternoon was spent playing and lounging by the fire. We watched the snow fall from the window and even though it snowed for most of the day, we only got a dusting.
We enjoyed a delicious tomato soup with grilled cheese for dinner. Perfect ending to a great day 🙂
Tomato Tortellini Soup
- 1 package (9 ounces) refrigerated cheese tortellini
- 2 cans condensed tomato soup
- 2 cups vegetable broth
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups half-and-half
- 1/2 cup chopped oil-packed sun-dried tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
Meanwhile, combine the soup, broth, milk, cream, tomatoes and seasonings in a large pot. Heat through, stirring frequently. Drain tortellini; carefully add to soup. Stir in cheese and enjoy!
