a blog about my busy little life as a mom

Blake and I were lucky enough to be invited to the soft opening of The Frogtown Inn at Woodfield Manor.  One of our favorite restaurants, The Frogtown Inn, is now going to be running Woodfield Manor as a traditional chophouse restaurant.

We started off with some warm, crusty bread with olive oil and some seasonings.image (9)

As an appetizer, we split the chicken skewers with a peanut dipping sauce.  This was like a chicken satay, if you’re familiar with that.  It was delicious and probably my favorite dish of the evening.image (11)

My entrée was grilled shrimp with a teriyaki sauce and a side of sweet potato fries.  Everything on the menu is ordered a la carte, so you choose your sides separately from your entrée.  I enjoyed my sweet potato fries very much so!  The quality and presentation of the food was consistent with what we experience every time we dine at The Frogtown- perfection.

It was another fun evening out and it’s safe to say that we’ll be back.  Since it was the first night that the “new” restaurant was open, we did have a few small suggestions to add at the end of the night (the owners asked everyone for some constructive criticisms), but I am confident that this new sister restaurant will be just as good as the first!
