oh, how it’s changed

Looking back on the past nine months, I know that I have gained weight and my midsection has grown significantly.  But, there’s a wonderful reason for that…

Look at how skinny I was!!! I can barely believe it!  Can I please look like that again?

I am happy that it doesn’t seem that I gained weight in the rest of my body though.  Hopefully that means that once baby comes I can squeeze back into my regular clothes!

pamper yourself

puredayspa

It so nice nice to pamper yourself once in awhile, and that’s exactly what I decide to do last week.

I needed to get my toes ready to have this baby (although it’s now 3 days past my due date and baby is no where in site!), so I scheduled a manicure and pedicure at Pure.  Let me tell you, it was a wonderful way to spend my evening!photo 1 (1)

The massage you experience during a pedicure at Pure is heavenly.  I’ve had pedicures at many different spas, but none compare to the luxurious massage you’ll receive here.

For colors, I chose purple (OPI-Pamplona Purple) for my feet and gray for my hands (OPI-You Don’t Know Jacques).  I really love both!photo 3

Why don’t you schedule an appointment to pamper yourself?  Call 570-420-1818!

You may think this is nesting, but I’m not so sure because I haven’t enjoyed it one bit!  It’s more like I feel like my life is about to end and I need to get everything in order before that happens.

Now, I have a hair and nail appointment scheduled for Thursday, then dinner out on Friday.  After I cross all those things off my list, then maybe baby can come.  I said to someone the other day that I think I’m more nervous for this baby than I was for any of the others…

we have a winner!

I’m a few days late, but have chosen a winner for the Sally Hansen Airbursh Legs!

Drumroll please…

That makes Kim our lucky winner!  Congratulations!!  I’ll be sure to get this prize to you as soon as possible Smile

a few new recipes

I’ve recently tried some new recipes that I’d like to share with you.  Some were amazing, some were so-so, and some I wouldn’t waste my time making again.  Here’s the run down.

Would definitely make again:

Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins

Made these for my niece’s baptism and loved them!

Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins. OMG.

Cinnamon Apple Hand Pies

Crock Pot Italian Chicken

The kids ate it and Blake loved it!

Crockpot Italian Chicken: 4 chicken breasts, 1 packet Zesty Italian dressing seasoning, 1 8 oz. cream cheese (softened), 2 cans cream of chicken soup; Cook on low for 4 hours. If sauce is too thick, add a little milk. Serve over pasta.

Pumpkin Spice Doughnut Holes

Maybe make again:

English Muffin Bread

Tasted good, but didn’t really remind me of English muffins…

English Muffin Bread

Cheesecake Factory Shrimp Scampi

Cheesecake Factory Shrimp scampi

One Pot Cheeseburger Casserole

I liked that this dish was easy to make and all in one pot, plus the kids ate it.  I just wished it had a little more flavor.

One-Pot Cheeseburger Casserole - good midweek dinner served with a salad. One pot meal, ground beef casserole, 30 minute meal

Kind of over-rated:

Sausage and Tortellini Soup

The tortellini was too mushy after sitting in the crock pot all day.  If I made it again, I would add the tortellini at the end.

Crockpot Cheese Tortellini and Sausage. 1 (19 oz.) bag frozen cheese tortellini 1 lb. sausage (I prefer Italian) 1 bag fresh spinach 2 cans Italian style diced tomatoes 2 cans low-fat chicken broth 1 (8 oz.) cream cheese

Have you tried any new recipes lately??
